Beware fo the internet

The internet and social media platforms should come with a warning label, like the ones you see on cigarettes. Using this product can be harmful, cause your brain to explode, or turn you into a robot. Yes, the internet and social media platforms are full of valuable information and it is a part of our lives, but it is also dangerous. From social media challenges to conspiracy theories, black markets to miracle supplements, you can find just about anything. Regulations are far and few in between and society is left to itself to know what is true or not. In the wake of any major event, millions of websites and social media posts will rush to get information out whether it is truthful or not, based on what will make them more popular with complete disregard for the truth.

We urge everyone to be cautious, do your research before believing what you read. Check the facts, confirm with people you trust and don’t share posts that you have not verified to be true. You will be doing yourself and society a favor. In times like these, being responsible with the information you share and consume is vital.
