Business Relationships

Business relationships are like any other relationship and there are times when you have to weigh in the pros and cons of the relationship. Here are a couple of measures to keep in mind in any business relationship to know whether you should invest your time and effort in growing that relationship or let go of it in order to focus on acquiring new clients.

1- Revenue - What is the impact the clients has on your business revenue.

2- Communication - How good is your communication with the client.

3- Values - Does the client align with your values and respect your services?

4- Policies - Does the client respect your payment policies, and service contract?

5- Team - Does the client respect your team?

6- Results - Does the client expect results you can’t deliver or demand unreasonable changes to the scope of work?

Every business is different, and making decisions on whether or not to keep a client is yours to make. When letting a client go, make sure it ends on a positive note. You don’t want to burn bridges, but you also don’t want a business relationship to have a negative impact on your team, your productivity and your overall business health.
